Where we live.

We feel very lucky with the place we found in Cork. After a day or two of asking around at rental offices, hostels, and browsing websites, we became official tenants of Sunview Terrace. We live with a German material scientist, a Dutch IT guy, a cool Kiwi and his awesome Cork girlfriend. They're all really great, and the house coming with everything we need (laundry/dryer/dishes,pots,pans/etc) makes it perfect.

Our house is the 2nd from the right. Maarten (the Dutch guy) is going in the door...

...and me at the door...

Inside we've got two sort of living areas, a huge kitchen, two bathrooms, and lots of things to keep us entertained on those always rainy days. Here's Marc with Maarten, very excited for our 2nd annual soccer party....

...here he is again, equally as excited after having just fixed the camera...it's the little things...

Our street is off College Road, this is looking towards the city centre...

...and this is looking towards UCC (University College Cork). Our tiny street is just around the curve on the left...

Ireland is incredibly green and lush (I'm sure due to the daily rains) and plants just seem to grow everywhere...even out of the walls...

Just a pretty bridge onto the UCC campus...

Our Kiwi and Cork roommates let us use their bikes, so nice! Here's our first bike ride...and consequently our last as Claire (from Cork) had to give her bike to her brother and Kristin (the Kiwi) now has duct tape around his tire...too bad, but we learnt from our first bike ride that they're not that nice in Ireland as we had at least three serious downpours on our 2hr ride

...right after one of the downpours...

...a little panorama camera trickery per Marc...

We've done some day trips and visited friends in Galway so still lots more to post before we're home in less than a month! Wowza time flies...
